Should I use SMS marketing?

There are so many forms of marketing these days that it can be hard to know where you, as a company, should invest your money. Mobile and direct marketing have become increasing popular over the last few years and when you look at the statistics its easy to see why. Over 90% of adults have their mobile phone within reach of them at all times, 98% of text messages are read and over 15% of Smartphone users have actually made a purchase on their phone after receiving a marketing email from a Brand.

You may be concerned that SMS messaging is intrusive and could give your company a bad reputation, but this entirely depends on what you are sending people and how often you are contacting them. If you are bombarding people with PPI claims text messages or randomly messaging people about compensation they may be due following an accident then you are likely to do more damage than good. If on the other hand you are contacting a group of people that have opted in to receive your message and informing them of a great special offer you have, and not doing it too frequently, then it could work wonders for your business. If you are in doubt you could always run a small trial to see what results you get.
