If you are looking to have some print work done, then it is vital that you get it proofread first. You may have decided that you are going to proofread it yourself, but it is easy to miss mistakes when you are too close to the project. If you do not want to hire the expertise of a professional proof reader then you may be able to ask family and friends to have a look over it and see what they think. Unlike with a website, when work goes in to print it cannot be easily changed. It never looks good if leaflets have had to have stickers put over the top or writing over the top of the text because there had been errors on it.
Most printing companies will be able to give you a proof of your artwork before it goes to the final stage of print. This may be a flat image but it should show any borders and cut lines so you can check that all of your work fits in as it is supposed to. If you notice any errors, be quick to flag them to the printing company and put the project on hold until you have corrected it. If the error is on your side then any changes after it has gone to print will probably be at your own cost.
