Print and Web Design trends for 2019

Over the past few decades, design trends have changed significantly. Whereas 10-20 years ago lots of people opted for bright clashing colours on their leaflet with a fun font type, designers are now using more natural tones or complimenting colours with professional font types to get their message across.

Below are a few trends that have started to creep in this year which we predict will boom even more so in 2019:

Responsive designs – over the last ten years, responsive designs have changed the way websites have been built. With more and more people using mobile devices and a range of screen sizes to view the online world, designers needed to create a website that would fit with all of them. Over the last few years, some of the big players in the marketing world have started to show a use for responsive logos. These can be created by often creating a small one letter or icon that represents the brand such as the G for Google.

Gradients – Historically gradients were the way to go with all print literature and this was adapted on to websites. Back in 2007, this was started to be viewed as dated and many designs since then steered clear of them. Over the last year or so we have seen more and more gradients coming back into website and print literature, often with underlying patterns too.
