Working with a mailing house

If you are looking at doing direct mail marketing for your business then you may want to consider using a mailing house. A mailing house is a company that will take on your direct marketing project and assist you from start to finish.

Usually you will be assigned a project manager who will be responsible for any projects you have. This will start from the initial consultation, providing you with a quote, managing the project in terms of deadlines and design and then ensuring the project is completed to the standard you expected. They may also be responsible for talking through the results of the direct mail with you and advising you of how you could improve or add to it next time.

Some companies chose to do direct mailing themselves and although this can save you money, it can cost you a lot in time. Cleansing databases, creating content and designs and programming the mailer may need to be done across several departments, and taking staff out of their day to day job to do this can cost the company in other areas.
