Some business owners still consider door to door marketing flyers to be an effective way to promote their company. This is particularly common with smaller local businesses such as landscape gardeners, builders and window fitters who may want to generate more business in an area that they are already working in. To have flyers printed can be an expensive undertaking as many printers will only agree to printing a minimum of five hundred at a time so is it worth printing your own flyers?
The advantage of designing and printing your own flyers is that you have control over the whole process and can print off as many or as few as you need when you need them. As long as you have a computer or tablet and a printer it is possible to print the flyers yourself.
If you have a program such as Publisher, there are usually templates that you can use to help with the design aspect. Company logos can usually be inserted along with contact details for potential customers. Using non genuine ink in the printer will save money although some printer manufacturers warn against this. Paper for the flyers can be bought from supermarkets quite cheaply and is generally of sufficient quality for this purpose.
