Sending out offers to existing customers

If you run your own business and are struggling to get repeat customers back to your shop or website then you may want to consider doing direct marketing. With direct marketing you can target your audience with very specific offers that are most suited to them. You should always try and keep a good, clean database or your existing or previous customer’s details and ensure that your database holds as much information as possible. You should try and keep a record of products or services they have purchased before and the dates of these purchases. If you sell a product or service that will need replacing or carrying out again after 12 months then be sure to contact them after 10 months of the initial sale to ask them if they would like to place a repeat order.

If you want to boost the amount of repeat sales you have then you could also include an offer such as money off or a free gift if they use your company again.

Try to make your letter or email as personal as possible, with their name and details of their previous order on there. You could also add a voucher code for them to use on your website that is unique to them.
