Compatible email designs

When creating a marketing email (newsletter or flyer) you need to ensure that it is designed and programmed to ensure compatibility across as many platforms as possible. Some email clients and browsers display information in different ways. For example, some browsers ill ignore certain CSS styles meaning that and email can arrive with your customer and the layout has gone astray.

This can make your emails look unprofessional and increase the number of people that delete it without really reading it properly. Most email marketing software companies will offer some sort of compatibility test, some will even show you what it will look like on many different email clients.

This is a great way to ensure you get the best response from your email marketing campaign. If you are sending it out yourself though, through your own emailing system and not using said software, you will need to manually check for discrepancies in the designs.
